TCH 502 The Road to Unity between the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Church
Faculty: Dr. Vassilios Bebis (Profile)
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Church have recognized each other as “Sister Churches, responsible together for maintaining the Church of God in fidelity to the divine purpose, most especially in what concerns unity” (Balamand Statement, Lebanon, June, 1993).
This course will present “the Road to Unity between the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Church,” examining the ecclesiological principles of the two churches, especially after the Second Vatican Council and the Pan-Orthodox Conferences.
