Postdoctoral Certificate in Clinical Psychotherapy

The Postdoctoral Certificate in Clinical Psychotherapy is designed for the advanced professional practitioner who holds a doctorate in a cognate field of counseling and wishes to deepen and broaden skills in both psychotherapy (the art of therapy) and psychopathology (the science of therapy).  By combining an in-depth study of the major schools of psychotherapy with a systematic study of the psychopathology of personality disorders, the postdoctoral student will have the opportunity to combine both the understanding of mental illness (psychopathology) with the practice of therapeutic counseling (psychotherapy), making this postdoctoral certificate a credential of advanced specialization in the field of counseling.
