ABOUT THE COURSE
This course will examine the role of friendship in the moral life. It will look at sources of ancient and modern philosophy, as well as Christian theology. It will treat such topics as the types of friendship, its main characteristics, its fruits, and its relationship to the other types of love. It will also look at friendship as a means of evangelization and seek to probe the meaning of what Jesus means when he says, “I no longer call your servants, but friends”
