Rev. Dr. Miguel A. Trinidad-Fonseca

Catholic priest, composer, and guitarist born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (B.A.) and a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. He also holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition (B.M.) from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, a Master in Music Composition with New Technologies (M.C.M.) from the International University of La Rioja,  and a Doctorate in Sacred Music from the Graduate Theological Foundation (D.S.M.), in Sarasota, FL. He has studied Gregorian Chant at the Center of Gregorian Studies and Liturgy of the “Santa Cruz” Abbey, in the “Valle de los Caídos” (Madrid, Spain), at Saint John’s University (Collegeville, Minnesota, U.S.A.) among others centers.

He has been a pastor in several parishes of the Archdiocese of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He worked actively in the Archdiocesan Youth Ministry, in the Commission for the Formation of Aspirants to the Permanent Diaconate, and as Spiritual Director, Confessor, and collaborator in the Minor Seminary “San José,” and the Regional Seminary “San Juan Bautista”. He has written numerous articles on liturgical music and other topics for the Catholic Weekly of Puerto Rico “El Visitante” (Puerto Rico). He has been a lecturer on subjects related to liturgical music in the different dioceses of Puerto Rico. He was a professor of Liturgical Music and Music Appreciation at the seminaries “San Juan Bautista” and “Regina Cleri”, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and at the Theological-Pastoral Institute “Luis Cardenal Aponte Martínez.” He is the founder of the Online School of Liturgical Music “Scándicus.” He is currently Associate Pastor of Saint Charles Borromeo and Saint Gabriel Parishes in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Maryland; Educator of Liturgical Music in the Association of the Hispanic Pastoral Musicians of the United States (AMPHE); and part of the Faculty of Sacred Music of the Graduate Theological Foundation. 



Sacerdote católico, compositor y guitarrista, nacido en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Posee un  Bachillerato en Artes en Filosofía y una Maestría en Divinidad de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico. También obtuvo un Bachillerato en Música en Composición del Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, un Máster en Composición Musical con Nuevas Tecnologías de la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja y un Doctorado en Musica Sacra de la Graduate Theological Foundation (Sarasota, FL). Ha estudiado canto gregoriano en el Centro de Estudios Gregorianos y Liturgia de la Abadía Santa Cruz del Valle de los Caídos (Madrid, España), en la Universidad Saint John (Collegeville, Minnesota, EEUU) entre otros. 

Ha sido párroco en varias Parroquias de la Arquidiocesis de San Juan, Puerto Rico. Trabajó activamente en la Pastoral Juvenil Arquidiocesana, en la Comisión para la Formación de los Aspirantes al Diaconado Permanente y como Director Espiritual, Confesor y colaborador en el Seminario Menor “San José”, y el Seminario Regional “San Juan Bautista”. Ha escrito numerosos artículos para el Semanario Católico de Puerto Rico “El Visitante” (Puerto Rico) sobre música litúrgica y otros temas. Ha sido conferenciante sobre materias en torno a la música litúrgica en las diferentes diócesis de Puerto Rico. Fue profesor de música litúrgica y apreciación musical en los seminarios “San Juan Bautista” y “Regina Cleri”, en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico y en el Instituto Teológico-Pastoral “Luis Cardenal Aponte Martínez” (Istepa). Es fundador de la Escuela Online de Música Litúrgica “Scándicus”. Actualmente es Párroco Asociado de las Parroquias Saint Charles Borromeo y Saint Gabriel, en la Arquidiocesis de Baltimore, Maryland; Educador en la Asociacion de Músicos Pastorales Hispanos de Estados Unidos (AMPHE), y parte de la Facultad de Música Sacra de la Graduate Theological Foundation.
