The Metta Center

  • Master of Pastoral Counseling (M.P.C.)
  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.)

This relationship allows a student to complete partial coursework requirements for the D.Min. degree or the M.P.C. degree at The Metta Center.  The Metta Center is an educational institution rooted in the Perennial Tradition which provides specialized training in spiritual companionship. This includes customized certificate completion training in spiritual direction and Grief Companion Training for caring professionals. 

 

Master of Pastoral Counseling

The academic requirements for the MPC through the Metta Center are:

  • Completion of the Grief Companionship Training program
  • 2 units of GTF study from the Pastoral Care and Counseling curriculum
  • 3 units of GTF study from any subject area
  • Research Methodology and exit project

Applicants should meet GTF prerequisites for admission to the M.P.C. degree:  bachelor’s degree plus 5 years involvement in a faith community/ministry.

 

Doctor of Ministry 

The academic requirements for the DMin through the Metta Center are:

  • Completion of the Grief Companionship Training program
  • 7 units of GTF study from any subject area
  • Research Methodology and doctoral project

Applicants should meet GTF prerequisites for admission to the D.Min. degree:  

master’s degree plus 5 years involvement in a faith community/ministry

Tuition 

  • Master of Pastoral Counseling  (M.P.C.)      $16,220
  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.)                                  $19,900

 

Tuition reflects administrative degree program costs charged by the GTF.  Program costs charged by the PRIME institution are separate and additional and must be paid directly to the PRIME institution.
